City of St. Louis Extends Code Blue Level 4 through Monday Morning

~ The City of St. Louis Department of Human Services has announced that the Code Blue level 4 activation will be extended through Monday morning. This decision was made in order to provide more than 600 emergency shelter beds for those in need. These additional beds are in addition to the baseline of 400 that are available day and night in the city.

According to officials, this level 4 activation has been in effect since Friday, Jan. 23 and there has not been a need to exceed capacity during this time. Walk-up shelter options are also still available at designated locations.

For those who require transportation to shelters, they can be picked up between 5 and 7 p.m. at designated rally points. In case alternative transportation is needed, individuals can contact the United Way 211 Helpline by dialing 211 for assistance.
