~ Idaho Falls, ID - The City of Idaho Falls is proud to announce the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony and public open house for the newly renovated Frontier Center for the Performing Arts. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at 4:00 p.m. at the Frontier Center.
Originally built in 1952, the Frontier Center has been a cornerstone of the community for over 70 years, hosting a variety of local performances, events, and cultural experiences. With this latest renovation project, the city has made a significant investment in preserving and enhancing this beloved venue.
The renovations include an expanded lobby space, improved pick-up and drop-off areas, and critical accessibility upgrades such as ADA compliant restrooms and a new ramp to better serve all guests. These improvements will not only enhance the overall experience for attendees but also make the facility more accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Mayor Lisa Burtenshaw expressed her excitement about the project, stating that "this expansion represents a meaningful investment in the arts and accessibility in Idaho Falls." She also acknowledged the contributions of Frontier Credit Union, CHC Foundation, and other generous community members who helped make this renovation possible.

Additionally, Frontier Credit Union invested $4.4 million for naming rights, while CHC Foundation provided a grant of $500,000. Other contributions came from organizations such as Maeck Family Foundation and Civic Foundation as well as individual community members.
The City of Idaho Falls invites everyone to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and public open house to see firsthand the improvements made to this historic venue. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about its history and future plans.
