City of Columbia to host Let's Talk Local discussion for Ward 2

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia is gearing up for its monthly Let's Talk Local discussion, which will take place on Tuesday, October 28th from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Molly Thomas Bowden Neighborhood Policing Center located at 1204 International Drive.

The event will feature Ward 2 Council Member Vera Elwood and will focus on the mission of the Office of Violence Prevention. D'Markus Thomas-Brown, administrator of the office, will give a presentation on the steps that the City is taking to address community violence.

Residents are encouraged to bring their questions to the event or submit them in advance through BeHeard.CoMo.gov/ask-city-council. Council members and City staff will do their best to answer these questions during the meeting. Answers to questions submitted online will also be posted on BeHeard after the meeting.

All residents from any ward are welcome to attend this discussion. Refreshments will be provided and attendees are asked to register beforehand at https://forms.gle/zZBuykmX69K663Lz8.
