The proposed project aims to build a 161-kilovolt transmission line connecting the Grindstone substation to the Perche Creek substation along Vawter School Road. After careful consideration, the Vawter School Road route was unanimously approved by the City Council as the most cost-effective option for the project.
This transmission line will not only strengthen the interconnection to the grid but also assist in maintaining its reliability and providing consistent power to the community. For those unable to attend the meetings, they can still ask questions and leave comments for Electric Utility Staff at BeHeard.CoMo.gov.
The City of Columbia Utilities encourages all interested parties to attend these meetings and share their thoughts on this important project.
