Projects include technology assistance for seniors, computer literacy training, internet service for residences, online safety education and expanded internet access for low-income students. Binary Heart received the largest grant, for its Digital Dreams Initiative 2026.

The program invited nonprofit proposals to improve access to affordable broadband and computing devices, build digital skills and address gaps identified in the city's Digital Opportunity Strategic Plan.

"This is the seventh year the City has invested in Digital Opportunity initiatives, and we're thrilled to see so many organizations committed to advancing digital opportunity in our community," said Tracy Gander, the city's Digital Opportunity Specialist.

Gander said the city received 18 applications seeking more than $144,000, with six organizations applying for the first time. She said she looked forward to working with the nonprofits to help close the digital divide.
