Boston: Forever Young Program for Older Adults Returns for Spring 2026

~ Boston, MA - A new program for older adults is set to launch in partnership with Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF), providing a welcoming space for fun and fitness. The program, which will take place once a week on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature activities such as bocce, cornhole, and archery.

Starting on April 1 and running through June 25, the program will be held at various City parks. Each month will bring a new activity, giving participants the chance to try something different in a welcoming environment.

The first activity on the schedule is cornhole at Edwards Playground located at 10 Eden Street in Charlestown. This game of aim and lighthearted competition is sure to be entertaining and social. The sessions will take place on April 1, 8, 15, and 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with no class on April 22 due to BPS School Vacation.

Next up is bocce at Langone Park on Commercial Street in the North End. This timeless game is known for its relaxing yet strategic nature and is easy for all ages to learn. Sessions will be held on May 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

For those looking for a more adventurous activity, archery will also be offered at Langone Park on June 3,10,17,and24 from11:00a.m.to1:00p.m.Participants can try their hand at this sport in a safe and guided environment.

The goal of each session is to promote physical activity, mental well-being, and community engagement. These drop-in sessions do not require pre-registration and are open to anyone who wants to try something new and make a friend.
