Aeternum Receives up to $50k support from Alberta Innovates to Advance Digital Legacy Innovation

Rezul News/10718438
EDMONTON, Alberta - Rezul -- Funding empowers Aeternum to expand its secure family memory platform and preserve legacies for generations.

Aeternum, a pioneering digital family legacy platform, has received up to $50,000 in support from Alberta Innovates, the province's leading innovation engine. This funding underscores Alberta Innovates' mission to propel bold ideas that create value and address pressing challenges.

Aeternum helps families preserve their stories, wisdom, and cherished memories through a private, secure digital vault. Unlike social networks or cloud storage, Aeternum is designed for moments that matter. Ensuring that voices, values, and life lessons are safeguarded for future generations.

"We are deeply grateful to Alberta Innovates for awarding us a Digital Traction grant," said Aaron Tong, CEO & Founder of Aeternum. "For Aeternum, this funding is more than financial support; it reflects the importance of building solutions that help families preserve their legacies. It accelerates Aeternum's product development and strengthens our ability to preserve family stories, legacies, and memories."

Background and Significance
This support comes at a pivotal moment as Aeternum scales to meet growing demand. With over three-quarters of Canadians concerned about losing digital memories due to technology failures or platform shutdowns (Source: Canadian Digital Legacy Report, 2023), the need for secure, future-proof preservation has never been greater.

By supporting ventures like Aeternum, Alberta Innovates continues to champion transformative solutions that improve lives and prepare families for the inevitable transitions of life, with dignity, permanence, and love.

Looking Ahead
The new support will accelerate product development and feature expansion, including their family tree and private memory creation, where families can preserve memories together, interact socially with them, and ensure they are passed on autonomously to future generations. All designed to make legacy preservation more meaningful, secure, and accessible.

"Receiving this grant marks an important milestone, but it is just the beginning," added Aaron Tong. "Looking ahead, Aeternum is committed to expanding our offerings with innovative features that safeguard memories and support families. As part of this growth, we are launching a program to honour those on the front lines, our police, firefighters, healthcare workers, and members of the Canadian Forces, by ensuring their courage, love, and sacrifice are preserved and remembered across generations. More details of this program will be released as our development progresses."

A Promise That Endures
Aeternum's recognition by Alberta Innovates reflects a growing movement to treat memory as inheritance, as valuable as wealth itself. As devices fail and data fragments, Aeternum bridges the gap between technology and timeless human connection.

At its core, Aeternum is more than a platform; it's a promise: that no family will ever have to say a final goodbye without knowing their stories will endure.
