You're Invited! Fleet Week Houston Opening Ceremony

April 13, 2026 ~ Houston, TX - The city of Houston is gearing up for an exciting week as Mayor John Whitmire and the planning committee invite everyone to attend the Fleet Week Houston Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, April 15. The ceremony, which will take place in front of Houston City Hall, will begin at 4 p.m. and promises to be a rousing and warm welcome for over 1,000 visiting servicemembers and military command.

The event will feature performances by the Navy Rock Brass Band and ceremonial music provided by the Quantico Marine Band and the Navy Band Southeast. Following the ceremony, there will be a post-ceremony celebration with the Navy Brass Band.
