5. Education: The Keys are part of the Monroe County School District, which serves pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students. Private & charter schools are also available, as well as Florida Keys Community College in Key West.
6. Outdoor activities: The Florida Keys are known for their outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, diving, snorkeling, parks, beachec, and nature trails.
7. Healthcare: The Keys have several hospitals & medical centers, including Mariners Hospital in Tavernier & Fishermen's Hospital in Marathon.
8. Transportation: The only way to access the Middle & Upper Keys is by car via the scenic Overseas Highway. A bus service runs between Key Largo & Key West.
9. Community: The small, close-knit community in the Keys is one of the things that draws many people to the area. Residents often participate in community events & come together to support each other during natural disasters.
