Biochar Now Meets Natura Solve and Leaders to Advance Great Salt Lake, Utah Initiatives.
SALT LAKE CITY - Rezul -- SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Environmental restoration and nature-based solutions are taking shape in Utah. "We're restoring the relationship between people and place. We have solutions for Utah."
Leadership from Biochar Now and Natura Solve recently convened at HAVN, for discussions centered on the Great Salt Lake, land restoration, and an announcement planned for Earth Day.
The gathering brought together expertise in biochar, microbial treatment systems, investment interests, and commercial clean technology.
At the center of discussions was the integration of Biochar Now's advanced technology with Natura Solve's microbial consortium to address Utah's urgent environmental challenges. Soil regeneration, water quality, ecosystem resilience, and remediation of impacted lands were discussed.
"This collaboration represents the next evolution of practical environmental restoration," said Natura Solve CEO, Jennifer Mitchell. "We're bringing practices rooted in indigenous wisdom and ecological stewardship to play. We've commercialized for modern deployment, so we can use what we know to rapidly enhance soil, water, waste, and land systems that desperately need our attention."

Tony Myers of Biochar Now played a foundational role in bringing the organizations together, initiating discussions around opportunities. "I greatly appreciate Jennifer and Natura Solve for organizing this event and for delivering such an exceptional microbial product," said Meyers, "At Biochar Now, we see tremendous value in how our products complement one another. The integration of advanced microbial solutions with our biocarbon creates a powerful pathway for improving soil health, cleaning water, enhancing carbon sequestration, and driving meaningful environmental outcomes."
McCann L. Utu, representing American Samoa, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands, where similar nature-based and community-led restoration models are being advanced said, "As a Samoan entrepreneur, I see this collaboration as more than innovation—it's a responsibility. Our islands have always lived in balance with the land and ocean, and now we have an opportunity to bring that indigenous wisdom into modern solutions. I'm committed to helping ensure that both Samoa islands and all Pacific communities are not only protected but positioned to lead in sustainable economic development for future generations."
Zaid Sri Anta had insight into Utah's coworking spaces and decided on HAVN. Sri Anta will fill the role of systems architect and infrastructure strategist, supporting operational framework behind deployment models. He's also the visionary of a major build-out for Ogden; Electric Alley, an initiative designed to support entrepreneurship, emerging businesses, innovation, and community in Northern Utah.

"Nature based solutions are ready to show the world that indigenous ecological innovations are ready for modern systems infrastructure. The future of real estate development, ecological integration, and business architecture, are all relying heavily on the resources made available by nature. It's up to us to plant those seeds now, so that the future of Northern Utah's business environment can be done in the shade, not the dust," said Sri Anta.
The partnership's broader mission is to transform damaged and underutilized environments into productive ecological and economic assets, combining practices used by indigenous tribes with scalable modern applications.
