TOPPAN Edge and Partisia partner for privacy-first Digital Identities, leveraging blockchain and MPC (Multi-Party Computation)

Rezul -- TOPPAN Edge is partnering with Partisia to develop a fully privacy-focused digital identity using Partisia's Decentralized Identity technology, enabling individuals to securely control their private data. The collaboration will also explore how Partisia Blockchain can scale this globally and support a secure, user-driven data economy. Additionally, the partnership aligns with Japan's vision for a trusted digital framework and ensures compatibility with Europe's eIDAS, strengthening regional ties.

Japan's TOPPAN Edge is a business information management solutions provider and a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based TOPPAN Group, while Denmark's Partisia is a pioneer in Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and advanced cryptographic enforced privacy utilizing blockchain technology.

TOPPAN Edge will bring its expertise in access control and hardware solutions. Partisia will provide its Decentralized Identity solution and a platform for activating confidential data. With deep experience in enabling privacy-preserving use of personal information, Partisia addresses the complex challenge of proving identity without exposing sensitive data. By using the Partisia Platform, TOPPAN Edge can create a whole new market with a platform that enables a new data economy, where private data can be put to work without compromising confidentiality, integrity or availability.

The solution, which is entirely software-based, enables individuals to securely control their private data from their mobile devices, enhancing data protection wherever they go.
