Global language technology company, thebigword, has donated Microsoft Surface Pro laptops to school children and teachers in Kenya, to help make a difference to their future education.
LEEDS, U.K. - Rezul -- Global language technology company, thebigword, has donated Microsoft Surface Pro laptops to school children and teachers in Kenya, to help make a difference to their future education.
Established in 2012 as a charity funded school, Kingston Junior Academy originally started with 23 pupils and 1 teacher and has now expanded into two schools with almost 700 pupils and 22 teaching staff.
In 2022 Kilifi Schools Education Fund connected electricity and Wi-Fi to the school. Following this implementation, thebigword have supported their cause and donated Microsoft Surface Pro laptops to help improve lessons and increase the skills and knowledge of the pupils going forward.
The pupil's relationship to the world outside of Kenya has now also expanded, allowing them to research and learn about things outside of their culture and develop IT skills like how to save files, and experiment with programs such Paint 3D.
