Rezul News/10743376
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Rezul -- The Alliance for Florida's National Parks announced it has received an $85,000 Capacity Building Grant from the National Park Foundation to develop and launch a new membership program and online engagement platform in celebration of the organization's 25th anniversary in 2027.
The grant will support the creation of a sustainable membership program designed to strengthen The Alliance's ability to support educational programs, youth access initiatives, conservation efforts and community engagement across Florida's national parks.
"As we prepare to celebrate 25 years of service in 2027, this investment from the National Park Foundation will help ensure our next 25 years are even stronger," said Lulu Vilas, CEO of The Alliance for Florida's National Parks. "This grant gives us the opportunity to build a lasting community of supporters whose ongoing commitment will help connect more people to Florida's national parks."
The Alliance supports more than 100,000 students and teachers who experience Florida's national parks each year through educational programming and park-based learning opportunities. The Alliance relies entirely on philanthropic support to fund programs and projects that federal appropriations do not cover.
