Symetra Classic Returns to Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Rezul -- River Run Country Club in Davidson is teed up to host the tenth annual Symetra Classic, from May 14-16, and Michelle Keaton-Barrow, CEO of Keaton Barrow Realty, is thrilled to once again be taking part in the event – this year as a volunteer.

The Symetra Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour. With the support of its umbrella partner Symetra, the Tour's mission is to prepare the world's best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour. Greeting the 144-player field in Davidson, is a total purse of $175,000.

"Now we are excited to return with the Symetra Classic where Leona Maguire claimed her second win of 2019 on her way to the LPGA Tour. We can't wait to see who will join her next as the 'Road to the LGPA' standings begin to take shape."

Last year, Keaton-Barrow, a member of the Triangle, Charlotte and Cape Fear/Wilmington chapters of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association, was part of the NC Executive Women's Day on the Symetra Tour panel that discussed Taking Back Your Time: Balancing Life at Home and in the Workplace.

Although the world has changed since last year, the pressures on women have only grown, she notes. "As professional women, we often find ourselves being pulled in multiple directions – both at home and in the workplace. A tournament like this, which helps women achieve their athletic dreams while nurturing their leadership goals, resonates with me."

Keaton-Barrow, who has a long been a mentor for younger women, is also an avid golfer. She is a  major sponsor of the upcoming  3rd Annual Front and Back Nine Golf Classic that will be held on June 12 at Lochmere Golf Club in Cary.

With more than 30 years' experience in commercial and residential real estate, Keaton-Barrow has developed a reputation as an experienced businesswoman and a trusted expert whose knowledge of current market trends, neighborhood statistics, and insurance information is unmatched. She honed her leadership skills as a college professor, business owner and board member.
