Springfield: Driver dies in two-vehicle crash

Springfield, Mo. ~ At approximately 3:01 p.m. on March 22, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Fremont and Buena Vista in Springfield, Missouri. According to the Springfield Police Department, officers were called to the scene and discovered that a 2016 Ford Mustang, driven by 37-year-old David Rodgers of Springfield, had entered the southbound lane of Fremont while traveling northbound. The Mustang collided with a southbound 2022 Kia Telluride driven by 36-year-old Alyssa Loveland, also from Springfield.

Loveland sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Tragically, Rodgers did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified of his passing.
