Springfield: Driver dies in single-vehicle crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. ~ On the evening of December 27, 2025, a tragic single-vehicle crash occurred in Springfield, Missouri. At approximately 6:29 p.m., officers from the Springfield Police Department were called to the scene in the 200 block of E. Norton. According to reports, a 17-year-old male from Springfield was driving a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer westbound on Norton when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a guardrail. The impact caused the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, to be ejected. Sadly, he did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's family has been notified of his passing.
