Spokane: SPD SIU Unit Makes Additional Arrests on Wanted Fugitives

~ In a recent development, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Spokane Police Department (SPD) has successfully located and arrested two female fugitives wanted for murder charges. The suspects, identified as 38-year-old Shantel Flores and 25-year-old Kassey Trump, were apprehended in separate incidents in Spokane.

According to SPD's Public Information Officer, Ofc. Daniel Strassenberg, Flores was taken into custody on May 4th near Wellesley and Belt on the North side of Spokane. She was wanted for homicide charges stemming from an incident in Okanogan County. SIU detectives located Flores and arrested her without any complications. She was briefly held at the Spokane County Jail before being transported to Okanogan County.

In another successful operation, SIU detectives located and arrested Trump during the last week of April. She was wanted for Negligent Homicide charges out of Montana.

The SPD has commended the efforts of the SIU team, along with the K9 unit and Air Support Unit, for their continuous hard work in locating fugitives in the Spokane area. This latest achievement is a testament to their dedication and commitment to keeping the community safe.
