~ Spokane, WA - Downtown Spokane is getting into the holiday spirit with its first-ever Holiday Village, presented by Gesa Credit Union. The four-day event, located at Riverfront Park and free to the public, will run from Thursday, December 11 to Sunday, December 14.

Visitors can expect a magical experience at the Holiday Village, which will feature local artisan markets, hands-on crafts, live performances, photo stations, and hot cocoa. All of these festive activities will take place in a heated glass-top tent beneath the Pavilion's LED canopy.

According to Garrett Jones, director of City of Spokane Parks & Recreation, this event would not have been possible without Gesa Credit Union's sponsorship of the Pavilion. "We are grateful for their community support in making this free event a reality," Jones stated.

Brandon Allison, vice president of community impact at Gesa Credit Union, expressed his excitement about being a part of the Holiday Village. "We're honored to help bring this event to life alongside our partners at the Pavilion," Allison said. "Spokane already has such a strong sense of community and events like this only add to that spirit by providing families with a place to gather and celebrate together."

The Holiday Village is just the beginning of year-round programming made possible by Gesa's 10-year sponsorship of the Pavilion. This partnership not only supports free and low-cost community events but also helps maintain over 60 acres of downtown greenspace.

The festivities will kick off on Thursday and Friday from 5-9 p.m., with extended hours on Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Families and friends are encouraged to come downtown and enjoy their park adorned with holiday lights.

Jones hopes that the Holiday Village becomes an annual tradition for Spokane residents. "It's the perfect time to kick off a free celebration for Spokane," he said. "We hope this event brings families and friends together to enjoy their park during the holiday season."
