Spokane: Meadowglen Park Groundbreaking July 22, 2026

~ Spokane, WA - On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the city of Spokane will be breaking ground on its first new park in 23 years. The Meadowglen Park, located at the corner of N. Indian Trail Rd. and Bedford, will bring more residents within a 10-minute walk of a park.
Designed with community feedback in mind, the park will span approximately 14 acres and include a playground, restroom, sport court, sand volleyball courts, picnic area, trail access, walking paths, and a bus stop. The remaining 16 acres will remain as natural land.

Funded by the voter-approved Parks levy as part of Together Spokane initiative and with matching grant support from the Washington State Recreation & Conservation Office and Spokane Transit Authority, Meadowglen Park aims to provide a much-needed recreational space for the community.
Residents are encouraged to follow project updates on TogetherSpokane.org/meadowglen-park and join in on the groundbreaking ceremony from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on July 22 by calling 311 or (509)755-2489.
