Spokane: Downriver Golf Course Opens March 6, 2026

SPOKANE ~ Spokane residents can dust off their golf clubs and get ready to hit the greens as Downriver Golf Course is set to open for the season on Friday, March 6. The course, located just down the river and nestled among tall pines near Riverside State Park, is a local favorite with its par 71 layout and scenic views of the Spokane River.

Joining two other City of Spokane courses, The Creek at Qualchan and Esmeralda, which opened on March 2, Downriver will offer players permanent greens, driving ranges, and carts upon opening. The course's restaurant will also be open for those looking to grab a bite after a round of golf.

Managed by City of Spokane Parks & Recreation, Downriver is one of nearly 120 properties encompassing over 4,000 acres of park land in the city.
