Spinnaker Chocolate Expands with New Factory and Café in Wallingford

Rezul News/10706668
SEATTLE, June 28, 2025 ~ Seattle-based craft chocolate maker, Spinnaker Chocolate, has announced an exciting new chapter in their business. The beloved company has officially relocated from their cozy Ravenna shop to a spacious new home in Wallingford. This move also marks the opening of their first-ever café.

The new Spinnaker Café offers a warm and modern space for customers to enjoy a variety of treats such as mochas, pastries, and more. This expansion not only provides a comfortable atmosphere for customers but also gives Spinnaker the opportunity to scale up their bean-to-bar chocolate production and grow their wholesale operations. Additionally, this move allows them to introduce long-awaited new products.

Guests at the café can indulge in rich drinking chocolate, locally roasted coffee, and handcrafted pastries just steps away from where Spinnaker's award-winning chocolate is made from scratch. Co-Founder and CEO Kelly Van Arsdale expressed her gratitude for the time spent at their previous location in Ravenna but is excited about what lies ahead. "Our time in Ravenna has been incredible, and it was bittersweet to say goodbye," said Van Arsdale. "But we're thrilled about what's ahead. This move has given us the space to grow, experiment, and create an even better experience for our customers."

The new location at 3509 Stone Way N in Seattle features a welcoming café with an expanded menu that includes hot chocolate, mochas, locally roasted coffee, select pastries from Sea Wolf Bakers, as well as homemade pastries made by Spinnaker themselves. The space also allows for larger-scale chocolate-making production, expanded wholesale operations, behind-the-scenes factory tours, and hands-on chocolate-making classes.

Despite the changes, Spinnaker Chocolate will continue to offer a full retail experience where customers can sample and purchase bean-to-bar chocolate, handcrafted truffles, drinking chocolate, and more.

"We know this is a big change, and we're so grateful for the support of our community," added Van Arsdale. "We can't wait to welcome everyone into our new cafe on June 28th and continue sharing our passion for craft chocolate."
