Shangri-La-La Brings a Vegas-Sized Siegfried & Roy Musical Comedy to the 2026 Festival Circuit

NEW YORK - Rezul -- Shangri-La-La, a new one-hour Las Vegas musical comedy inspired by Siegfried & Roy and the Mirage-era reinvention of the Strip, is moving through a 2026 festival run with appearances in Harrisburg, New York City, Rogue Theater Festival's digital edition, and Philadelphia Fringe.

Created by Mike Meier and Peter Giambalvo, Shangri-La-La mixes original songs, show-business satire, Vegas glamour, immigrant ambition, magic mythology, Bugsy Siegel, Steve Wynn, white tigers, and the very human urge to build a dream larger than common sense.

The festival version returns to the birth of the spectacle: two outsiders arriving in America, remaking themselves into global icons, and helping define the Mirage era of Las Vegas entertainment. The result is a comic fable about fame, illusion, reinvention, risk, friendship, and the sometimes ridiculous machinery behind entertainment legend.
