WHO: Pamela Price, Civil Rights Attorney & Candidate for Alameda County District Attorney; Cat Brooks, Founder and Executive Director, "Anti Police Terror Project"(APTP); Addie Kitchen (Grandmother of Steven Taylor who was shot by San Leandro Police at Walmart) Alameda County community leaders, advocates, and faith leaders;
WHAT: News Conference & Community Call to Action- Civil Rights Attorney Pamela Price will hold a Good Friday news conference condemning the treatment of a homeless man by San Leandro police officers and calling out the failure of accountability by the current appointed District Attorney, Ursula Jones Dickson.
The press conference will address a disturbing incident first reported by Dan Noyes of ABC7 News, where officers:
Price will demand answers as to why no prosecutorial action has been taken, and will outline the broader implications for civil rights, policing practices, and the criminalization of poverty.

WHY: This Good Friday, a day symbolizing justice, sacrifice, and moral reckoning, the speakers will address what they describe as: The criminalization of homelessness; The failure of leadership and accountability within the current Appointed District Attorney's Office; The urgent need for equal justice under the law. Good Friday-Good Deed: Working to ensure all are protected under the law. No one's above the law and No one should be under the law."
According to the report, officers themselves acknowledged the man "didn't do anything" before deciding to remove him from the city and abandon him elsewhere.
Former Alameda County DA and Candidate Pamela Price will ask: Why was this man, Shaquille Coleman, detained without probable cause?; Why was force used against someone who committed no crime?;Why has the current appointed DA failed to act? :What message does this send about justice in Alameda County?
