Thousands Expected at Indiana Statehouse for Community Gathering

INDIANAPOLIS - Rezul -- Indianapolis-area residents will gather at the Indiana Statehouse on Saturday, March 28, from 12 PM to 5 PM for No Kings 3: Indy, a large-scale community march and rally focused on creating positive change through connection, civic participation, and shared human experience. This is one of dozens of No Kings rallies planned across the state.

The last No Kings rally drew approximately 6,000 attendees, and organizers expect thousands again this year. Rooted in the idea of joy as radical resistance, NK3Indy brings people together at a time when many feel isolated, divided, or overwhelmed.

No Kings 3 Indy will feature:
  • Multiple spoke marches converging on the Statehouse
  • Inspiring speakers
  • Live music and performances from a wide range of community artists
  • Community singing and large-scale group participation
  • Embodied grounding and well-being practices, featuring Laughter Yoga
  • Collaborative art projects and co-created visual expression
  • Representatives from community organizations and service agencies
  • Mutual Aid donation station to support marginalized  and unhoused neighbors
  • Political candidates for key leadership roles at all levels
  • Celebration of the power of community togetherness

This diverse coalition reflects the strength and possibility of a community that shows up together across different backgrounds and perspectives.

A Vision of Unity and Hope

Organizers envision this event as much more than a rally. "When decency triumphs over dignity, humanity wins. When we leave this event, we will continue the work. We hope that we will become more connected and that we all unite in the MASSIVE undertaking it is to keep an active democracy just that.  Active. No one who attends these events wants to live in an authoritarian state, and most people on either side actually don't want that reality either."  They also added "We hope this event will bring you regeneration, remind you that if they steal our joy, they also win, and this piece of connected, communal, collective care and healing dressed up in drag as a day of political street theatre inspires and energizes all of you to continue to fight."
