Rezul News/10703647
EAST ORANGE, N.J. - Rezul -- NextGen Healthcare Solutions Services, founded by entrepreneur Aaliyah Cook-Ali, has officially earned certification under the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Program. The milestone was achieved during the City of East Orange's 9-week Professional Development Workshop Series, sponsored by Mayor Ted Green, the East Orange City Council, and the Office of Policy, Planning and Development.

Located at 17 Ampere Parkway, NextGen Healthcare Solutions Services is now eligible for key UEZ benefits—including tax incentives and access to business development resources—designed to stimulate job creation and economic growth in historically underserved communities.

For Cook-Ali, the UEZ certification marks a turning point in her entrepreneurial journey.

"Healthcare just made sense—it's a field that's always essential," said Cook-Ali. "With this certification, I'm now in a better position to grow a mission-driven company that offers real value to East Orange. My focus is on launching community-based training programs like CPR and phlebotomy, helping residents build skills and start careers."

Cook-Ali is currently completing her CPR instructor certification and plans to offer short-term healthcare training through city or state-funded partnerships. Her goal is to provide accessible, affordable programs for East Orange residents—especially youth and adults seeking new career paths.

Anna D. Banks, executive coach and facilitator of the East Orange workshop series, applauded Cook-Ali's achievement:

"Aaliyah is exactly the kind of business leader our communities need—purpose-driven and action-oriented. Watching her turn the lessons from the workshop into a certified enterprise is a reminder that when we invest in local talent, we unlock powerful change."

NextGen's success is part of a broader effort to equip small business owners in East Orange with tools to thrive through mentorship, education, and local government support.
