New Solution to - Did the Chicken or Egg Came First? - Is Wrong

WASHINGTON - Rezul -- A scientific website recently claimed that evolutionary biology had finally solved what Aristotle called it an unanswerable paradox:

But, says public interest law professor John Banzhaf, all it takes to answer  the question is a little bit of clear logical thinking, not scientific analysis.

As the question is ordinarily phrased, the answer should be obvious to every grade school child who has ever visited a museum.  There young children are exposed to many critters which laid eggs long before there were any birds, much less any chickens.

So, as properly re-phrased, the question should be "Which Came First, the Chicken or the Chicken Egg?"

But answering even that question doesn't require much science; the answer should be obvious to anyone who thinks clearly, which includes carefully defining one's terms.

The very first bird which had the precise biological characteristics to qualify scientifically as a chicken came from an egg, and that egg was laid by a bird which was very close biologically to a chicken but was just very slightly different.

So, if we define the term "chicken egg" to mean an egg from which a true chicken hatched, clear thinking - not complex science - says that the "chicken egg" had to have came first (before the first chicken).

However, if we define the term "chicken egg" to mean an egg laid by a chicken, then clear thinking - not complex science - says that the chicken had to have came first (before the first "chicken egg.").

There many serious and profound questions relating to time with which many very wise people are wresting.  These include, says Banzhaf, who studied physics at M.I.T:
■ Is time real, or just a construct, an abstraction, or a convenient fiction, etc?
■ Can time ever flow backwards, including at the sub-atomic quantum level?
■ What if anything existed prior to the big bang?
■ Does time stop, or even exist, inside a black hole?

But whether a chicken came before a chicken egg (if defined as an egg from which a true chicken hatched), or whether a chicken came before a chicken egg (if defined as an egg laid by a chicken), are not serious profound questions with which many very wise people are wresting, argues the law professor.
