New Dates in December for The Cancun International Boat Show
Rezul News/10534276
CIBS announces NEW Show Dates of December 3 - 5, 2021 and prepares for higher than expected attendance with additional exhibits, sponsor opportunities, entertainment and surprises such as an invisible boat and e-power technology.
CANCUN, Mexico - Rezul -- We have made the difficult decision to postpone the Cancun International Boat Show which was previously scheduled for July. The show's NEW DATES are December 3-5, 2021.
The main factors behind our decision were the current elevated epidemiological restrictions, causing capacity limitations and restrictions in events of this magnitude. "We need this show to be an incredible experience for both our attendees as well as our exhibitors and sponsors", says Steven Lorenzo, the show's director.
Vaccinations are well under way throughout Mexico so we expect the situation to be much more subdued by late autumn and thus expecting a very large turnout similar to boat shows in the Southeastern United States.

Ticket holders, exhibitors and sponsors were the first ones to receive the news a month ago and the overwhelming majority were in favor of the date change. Many factors were affected by the date change: hotel, airline, work schedules and logistics all had to be reworked.
The good news is a much more powerful show is coming in December. Visit Mexico, the private tourism company mandated by the Mexican government to handle promotion of all tourism for the country, is now a major sponsor at the platinum level. Many new surprises are coming in December including a 30 ft invisible snorkeling vessel (yes, that's correct, this boat is 100% transparent), e-power yachts, anti-fouling technical breakthroughs, various Mexican boat builders, a walk through the engine room of a 48 meter catamaran ferry, more in-water marina slips and additional branding opportunities.
Now is a great time for brands to take advantage of sponsorship opportunities that will carry them through December.

About the Cancun International Boat Show
The Cancun International Boat Show and Marine Expo was created to continue growth of the recreational marine industry in Mexico. Mexico is the United States' 2nd largest recreational marine market with plenty of room for expansion. We have decided that the best way to solve this problem is to unite the industry with its audience. Here people will meet face to face and discuss their needs and ideas. This action will lead to continued growth in Mexico's marine leisure market due to greater product availability and greater appeal to families.
Cancun allows us the infrastructure for continued industry growth and at the same time continue the event year after year.
