Naperville: Annual Arbor Day Tree Sale Begins Online at 8 a.m. March 23

~ Naperville, IL - The City of Naperville is gearing up for its annual Arbor Day Tree Sale, which will take place online for four weeks starting March 23. This year's sale will feature a variety of shade, flowering, and fruit-bearing trees, including some species that have not been offered in previous years. The sale link will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 23 and will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 or once all trees are sold out.

Residents can select from 250 available trees, priced between $40 and $100, to enhance their landscapes and support a healthy environment. All trees are inspected by Naperville's certified arborist for quality.

To place an order, customers must visit the City's online payment portal, Resident Access. They can preview photos and descriptions of the available trees at naperville.il.us/2026-tree-sale before making a purchase. The tree prices include sales tax and customers are limited to six trees per transaction.

Once an online order is complete, shoppers will be directed to use an online calendar to schedule a time to pick up their tree(s) on Saturday, April 25 at the Public Works Service Center located at 180 Fort Hill Dr. Pickup timeslots must be scheduled within 24 hours of purchase to avoid cancellation.

For the safety of all participants during the pickup event on April 25, customers will be asked to remain in their vehicles while City staff members load the trees into their vehicles during their pre-scheduled pickup timeslot. It is important to note that all tree sales are final and trees must be picked up on April 25. Payment will be forfeited for any trees that are not picked up on this date and no refunds will be given.

In addition to the tree sale, the City is also promoting the use of rain barrels and composters in partnership with the Conservation Foundation and Upcycle Products. Customers who purchase these items by mail-in form before April 17 or online before April 19 can pick them up during the tree sale drive-thru event on April 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works Service Center. A receipt will be required at the time of pickup for proof of purchase. A portion of the sales from rain barrels and composters will be donated to the Conservation Foundation.

Public Works Director Dan Randolph expressed his excitement for this year's tree sale, stating, "The annual tree and rain barrel sale is a simple but meaningful way for residents to support sustainability and invest in their own neighborhoods." He also noted that this year's tree selection includes both longtime favorites and new species, offering something for every yard.
