Ms. Defense Announces the #BeYourOwnGuardianAngel Campaign

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Rezul -- Ms. Defense, a women's self-defense company, today announced its #BeYourOwnGuardianAngel (or #BYOGA) initiative to empower women to be in charge of their personal safety while at home or on the streets.

Ms. Defense is dedicated to helping women protect themselves from violence, embrace their personal power, and be aware of their surroundings at all times.

The company is also committed to helping women create a self-defense mindset and a continued focus on training and education.

To support its mission and in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), the company is launching its #BeYourOwnGuardianAngel campaign, designed to educate women on how they can proactively protect themselves from sexual assaults and violence.

The campaign includes instruction on situational awareness, avoidance, and de-escalation tactics. It takes a proactive approach to personal safety by teaching women how to be more aware of their surroundings, leverage body language techniques, develop an escape plan, and de-escalate a potentially violent or aggressive situation without the use of force.

"Sexual assaults are the most prevalent crimes in the US and the most underreported. 90% of adult victims are female. My goal is to dramatically reduce that number and help 1,000 women protect themselves during SAAM," said Kelly Reeves, founder of Ms. Defense.

"A guardian angel is an angel assigned to protect and guide a particular person. We created the "Be Your Own Guardian Angel" initiative to provide women with a proactive approach to protecting themselves and avoiding a potentially dangerous situation without needing a self-defense device or physical engagement," Reeves continued.

Ms. Defense offers live classes and online courses to women. In addition, the company plans to extend its services to specific demographics, including teens, girls, college students, and senior citizens.
