MetroLagoons announces swim lessons across Tampa and Southwest Florida

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Rezul -- MetroLagoons is hosting swim lessons in partnership with Floatz, offering lessons for all ages across three of its locations.
Sessions will take place May through October in the greater Tampa and Southwest Florida regions, including at Epperson Lagoon in Wesley Chapel, Mirada Lagoon in San Antonio and Brightwater Lagoon in North Fort Myers. Lessons will take place over three consecutive weeks on the following dates:
Three swim levels are available, including:
Group lessons range from $150 to $190 for the two-week courses, which include a total of six, 25-35-minute sessions. Adult and private swim lessons are also available for those seeking more personalized instruction.

"We want everyone to feel confident in the water, and our swim lessons are designed to give people of all ages the skills they need to enjoy it safely," said David Heaton, vice president of operations for MetroLagoons. "Whether you're a parent helping your child learn water safety or an adult looking to build or improve skills, our goal is to make every splash safe and fun for all."

Three swim levels are available, including:
- Parent Participation: The parent or guardian will accompany the child into the water where the adult will learn to keep their children safe in, on and around water. Suited for ages 6 months to 36 months old, the lessons are offered at Brightwater Lagoon and Epperson Lagoon locations. Mirada Lagoon will also offer these lessons beginning in June.
- Preschool: There are three skill levels offered, ranging from non-swimmer to doggie paddling. Each child will be skill-tested and placed accordingly. The lessons are geared for ages 3 to 5 years old and available at all three locations
- Youth Beginner: There are three youth beginner skill levels offered, ranging from non-swimmers to floating and basic front- and back-stroke formation. Children will be skill-tested for placement. The lessons are available for ages 6 to 12 years old at all three locations.
