MAYDAY Enters Home Defense Category with Launch of Scientifically Proven Furniture and Bedding Spray
Rezul News/10742147
New non-toxic, fragrance-free formula independently tested to kill 92% of lice and super lice and 99% of bed bugs on upholstered surfaces, completing the brand's full home-to-hair protection system
NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Rezul -- MAYDAY, the fast-growing pesticide-free lice prevention and treatment brand, today announced its expansion into the home defense category with the launch of its Furniture & Bedding Spray. The announcement marks another significant step in MAYDAY's mission to provide families with a complete, non-toxic protection system that addresses lice and pests not just on the scalp, but on every surface where they can survive and spread.
The Furniture & Bedding Spray is a non-toxic, fragrance-free formula designed to be applied directly to upholstered fabrics including bedding, pillows, stuffed animals, luggage, furniture, and any fabric surface that may harbor lice or bed bugs. The spray addresses one of the most overlooked causes of lice reinfestation. Families who successfully treat an active outbreak on the hair frequently experience a return of lice because the eggs and live insects surviving on household fabrics are never addressed. The MAYDAY Furniture & Bedding Spray closes that gap.

The formula has been independently tested and scientifically proven to kill 92% of lice and super lice on contact. As with MAYDAY's other products, lice and super lice efficacy testing was conducted by Katie Shepherd, Founder and CEO of LSRN, with DNA verification of super lice strains conducted by Ju Hyeon Kim, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine, confirming that the lice strains used in testing were verified super lice. In addition to its lice efficacy, the Furniture & Bedding Spray has been independently tested and proven to kill 99% of bed bugs, with testing conducted by an independent third-party laboratory.
The formula is non-toxic and fragrance-free, making it safe for use throughout the home on the fabrics and surfaces that families interact with every day. It contains no harsh chemicals and leaves no residue, allowing treated items to be returned to use quickly after application.
"Treating lice on the hair without treating the home is like putting out half a fire," said Bill Glaab, Founder of MAYDAY. "Lice and their eggs can survive on upholstered surfaces long enough to cause reinfestation, and most families have no idea that the pillows, stuffed animals, and furniture in their home may be the reason lice keeps coming back. The MAYDAY Furniture & Bedding Spray gives parents a way to address the full environment, not just the hair, with a formula that is safe to use anywhere in the home."

A Complete System from Hair to Home
The Furniture and Bedding Spray is available as a standalone product and as part of MAYDAY's Lice Treatment and Home Defense Kit, which pairs the spray with the brand's Lice Treatment Hair Solution and Lice Fighting Comb. The kit is designed to allow families to treat an active lice infestation on the hair and in the home in a single, coordinated session, reducing the risk of reinfestation and eliminating the need to purchase multiple products from multiple brands.
About MAYDAY
MAYDAY is a pesticide-free lice prevention and treatment brand founded by Bill Glaab and Jimmy Placa. The brand was built on the belief that families deserve lice solutions that are safe, scientifically proven, and actually effective against the super lice strains that have rendered most conventional treatments obsolete. MAYDAY products are available on Amazon, TikTok Shop and our website (http://www.trymayday.com), with national retail expansion underway for 2027.
