VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Rezul -- Ma Folie, the Vancouver-based jewelry studio known for its custom engagement rings and one-of-a-kind designs, is quickly establishing itself as one of Vancouver's most talked-about names in fine jewelry.

Founded by Cathy Shen, a former government professional who left a 15-year career to pursue a passion for gemstones, Ma Folie has grown from pop-up events in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal to a permanent studio in downtown Vancouver. Since opening its studio in September 2024, the brand has hosted over a thousand client consultations and continues to be booked weeks in advance.

"More and more people are wanting something unique and something that they can't find anywhere else," says Cathy, Founder and Designer. "Every ring we make is built around the person wearing it."

What sets Ma Folie apart from national chains and traditional jewelers is where and how the rings are made. Every piece is handcrafted in Vancouver by a goldsmith with over 25 years of experience, just a few blocks from the client-facing studio. Nothing is outsourced overseas and no prefabricated parts are used. Canadian diamonds, mined in the Northwest Territories and fully traceable from mine to finger, are also available for clients who want a stone as Canadian as the ring itself.

Ma Folie offers both ready-to-ship designs and made-to-order rings in diamond and sapphire styles, from solitaires to toi et moi designs. Consultations are available (by appointment only) in studio and virtually for clients outside of Vancouver.
