Rezul News/10706808
Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach has announced that they will be taking an annual summer recess for City Council meetings during the month of July. This decision means that the regularly scheduled meetings on July 1, 8, and 15 will not take place. However, the meeting on July 22 will still occur for any urgent Council business that needs to be addressed during the month.

According to city officials, this is a common practice for jurisdictions to have a legislative recess over the summer months. The City of Long Beach is following in the footsteps of the State of California and other major cities in the state who also have a summer recess.
