Long Beach: City to Host TGI2S+ Career and Resource Fair

Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is taking steps to promote inclusivity and support for the transgender, gender expansive, intersex and two-spirit+ (TGI2S+) communities by hosting a free career fair. The event, organized by the Departments of Economic Development & Opportunity (EDO), Health & Human Services and Library, Arts and Culture, will take place on Thursday, Apr. 23, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Billie Jean King Main Library.
The TGI2S+ career fair aims to connect individuals from these communities with rewarding career opportunities and resources. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP online in order to secure their spot at the event.
The fair will feature a diverse range of employers and hiring representatives who are committed to creating an inclusive work environment. In addition, community organizations will be present to offer specialized services tailored to the unique needs of the TGI2S+ community.
To further support attendees in their job search, workshops will be conducted on employee rights and the process of applying for jobs with the City of Long Beach. Optional preparation sessions will also be held virtually prior to the event for those who indicate interest in attending on their RSVP form.

Some of the participating employers include Apple One, LA Metro, Ulta and more. Community partners such as Alexis Project, APLA Health, Earthlodge Center for Transformation, Live With Ease Wellness Center and The LGBTQ Center Long Beach will also be present at the fair.

This event serves as a powerful reminder of solidarity and support for transgender and nonbinary community members, while also increasing visibility, awareness, and access to affirming resources.
