Lauderhill Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn Host "Mission Critical" Bootcamp to Empower Nonprofits Facing Rising Community Needs
Rezul News/10711910
LAUDERHILL, Fla. - Rezul -- With sweeping federal cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential programs, nonprofits across Florida are bracing for higher demand and fewer resources. In response, Lauderhill Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn, in partnership with Simply Healthcare, will host the 2025 Non-Profit Bootcamp — a free, one-day summit to equip nonprofit leaders with tools to sustain services and mobilize for greater impact.
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The City of Grace Florida Church in Lauderhill.
Now in its second year, the Bootcamp will bring together 75–100 nonprofit leaders from Broward and Palm Beach counties for a dynamic day of learning, strategy, and collaboration. This year's theme, "Mission Critical: Innovate. Sustain. Mobilize.",
speaks to the urgent need for innovation and partnership as the sector responds to community hardship and policy shifts.
Program Highlights:
"Nonprofits are being asked to do more with less — just as families are experiencing deeper levels of need," said Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn. "This Bootcamp is about helping nonprofit leaders not only survive the moment, but emerge stronger, more connected, and better equipped to serve our community."
