Juneau: CBJ Avalanche Advisory – March 3, 2026

Rezul News/10728962
~ As heavy snowfall and strong northerly winds continue to impact the area, the potential for avalanches in all known slide paths has been deemed elevated and increasing overnight. The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) has announced that they are moving to the "Set" stage of their "Ready, Set, Go" readiness framework in response to this heightened risk.

While this is not an evacuation advisory, CBJ is closely monitoring the situation and will issue an emergency alert if conditions change significantly. During this "Set" stage, residents are advised to be aware of their risk level, have a go-bag prepared, and create a household evacuation plan in case conditions worsen.
