Chief Bryce Johnson of the Idaho Falls Police Department expressed his excitement for this event stating that it is not just about showcasing these impressive vehicles but also about building trust with the community and having meaningful conversations with those they serve. He also emphasized the importance of safe driving practices as summer travel begins.
As we enter into what is known as the "100 Deadliest Days" - the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when traffic fatalities tend to increase - this event serves as a reminder to commit to safe driving practices. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with patrol officers, traffic officers, and first responders who are well-versed in traffic laws and safe driving practices. Additionally, representatives from the Idaho Child Passenger Safety and Little Defenders will be present with educational materials and experts on car seats for children.
This event is free and open to the public, taking place in the parking lot of Grand Teton Mall located at 2300 E. 17th Street. The car show will be held in the Northwest corner of the parking lot in front of Dick's Sporting Goods. So mark your calendars for June 5th and come out to support our local first responders while also learning about safe driving practices.
