Grand Opening of Local Restaurant Owners' New Concept Food Truck
Rezul News/10738795
TOLEDO, Ohio - Rezul -- Husband and wife team, owners of a local pretzel franchise, are opening a food truck with a new handmade food concept this weekend. Called "Buzzy Bites," the food truck will be located at the Perrysburg Outdoor Storage business compound on Dixie Highway in Perrysburg. The grand opening is Saturday June 27 from 10:30am until 6pm. Serving great food to the 419 community is the driver behind this concept.
Buzzy Bites is a new-concept food, a fusion of familiar flavors, like Philly Cheese Steak and Corned Beef Reuben, and very thin fried pizza dough. The idea for Buzzy Bites materialized after namesake and owner "Buzz" Buzzell's cancer treatment left him unable to eat certain foods. He asked his wife, Stacey, to make him something like pepperoni pizza, but without all the dough, and Stacey created Buzzy Bites.

"Our food truck is all about bringing great food to the local community," says Buzz. "Our bites and hand pies are handmade from quality ingredients, and light and airy. I can't eat doughy things like bread or thick-crust pizza anymore, and I know there are lots of people out there who also can't, or don't want to. But anyone will appreciate how flavor-packed our bites are. I truly think they are out of this world, and I just want to share them with everyone. We're really excited to finally be open, and can't wait to show up at summertime festivals and events!"
Buzzy Bites LLC is owned and operated by husband and wife "Buzz" Buzzell and Stacey Roman. Buzz and Stacey also own the Ben's Soft Pretzel franchise inside the Meijer on Fremont Pike in Rossford. Buzz brings a deep knowledge of logistics and communication to the business, while Stacey has years of experience in food service and special events management.
