Don't Get Left In The Dark: Duracell Urges Americans To Gear Up For A Stormier-Than-Average Season
Rezul News/10707220
Duracell's Preparedness Efforts are "Built Different" to Help Families Prep for U.S. Storm Season
CHICAGO - Rezul -- With hurricane season officially underway, Duracell, the world's leading battery manufacturer, is powering up to educate families on how to prepare and stay connected when it matters most. With forecasts calling for an above-average storm season, Duracell is marking 15 years of efforts to deliver critical preparedness resources, storm safety education, and rapid disaster relief.
According to a recent forecast from Colorado State University, there's a 51% chance of a major hurricane making landfall in the U.S. this year - well above the 43% historical average. Yet nearly half of Americans still say they feel unprepared for severe weather. The need for education, supplies, and reliable power has never been greater, and Duracell is here to help ensure families are educated about how they can prepare.
"When the lights go out after a storm, it's more than just an inconvenience; it's a moment of vulnerability. With a persistent threat of power outages during storm season, we remain focused on delivering reliable battery power to keep essential devices running. Whether for lighting, staying informed, or critical health needs, batteries are essential in helping families stay safe," said Todd Midura, Vice President Marketing, North America.

Preparedness Starts at Home with Duracell
Duracell's storm safety initiatives begin well before the first forecast with its annual preparedness campaign aimed at equipping families with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and prepare for a storm.
Education is the backbone of Duracell's efforts, reflected in its new downloadable DURACELL® Storm Safety Infographic, a key resource outlining essential items every household needs to stay safe and encouraging the creation of a Duracell Storm Preparedness Kit.
Storm prep kits are easy to assemble and help families feel prepared for unpredictable storms. Each should include clean water, non-perishable food, a first aid kit, a safety plan, and critical emergency items like flashlights, radios, and Duracell Batteries with Power Boost Ingredients™.
Relief When It's Needed Most: Duracell PowerForward
Duracell is Built Different, and looks to provide authentic, real-time support in areas affected by power outages, creating human moments of care and connection with its Duracell PowerForward™ program.
