Denmark Ministry of Defence and Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® Prove F-35 Interoperability in Flight
Rezul News/10702535
~ Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works, in partnership with the Danish Ministry of Defence (MOD), has successfully completed a live F-35 interoperability demonstration. This demonstration is part of a series of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) demonstrations that showcase the F-35's ability to act as a powerful force multiplier, allowing allied forces to quickly deploy advanced capabilities and connect systems across the battlespace.
The recent demonstration involved a Danish F-35 flying from Lockheed Martin's facility in Fort Worth, Texas, sharing classified data with a command center in Denmark through open systems technology. This was made possible by the use of DAGGR-2, an Open Systems Gateway (OSG) developed by Skunk Works in partnership with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The data was transmitted via commercial satellite communications and displayed at Skrydstrup Air Base in Denmark.

According to Danish Air Chief Maj. Gen. Jan Dam, this milestone marks a significant enhancement of Denmark's capabilities. The real-time sharing and analysis of advanced data across geographically dispersed networks demonstrated the potential of the F-35 and its ability to support multi-domain operations. Dam also praised the close collaboration between Skunk Works and the Danish MOD for accelerating the deployment of such capabilities.
OJ Sanchez, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, highlighted their commitment to rapidly deploying ready-now capabilities through collaboration with international partners. He also emphasized their dedication to Open Systems Architecture, which allows for seamless integration across different platforms, sensors, and shooters regardless of manufacturer.
This successful demonstration further solidifies Lockheed Martin's commitment to delivering open architecture solutions that enhance multi-domain integration capabilities for allied forces.
