(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia residents can expect some changes to their daily commute as road work on East Green Meadows Road and Veterans United Parkway has been rescheduled for Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6. This update comes from the City of Columbia Public Works department, who has hired Engineering Surveys and Services to perform pavement testing in preparation for a future capital improvement project.

The testing will begin at 5:30 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. each day. During this time, drivers can expect lane shifts to accommodate the use of center turn lanes while the testing is underway. The construction project itself is not expected to take place until 2027-28.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving in the area and to be aware of workers and equipment on the road. This rescheduling may cause some inconvenience, but it is necessary for the city's future infrastructure improvements. For more information, visit CoMo.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=9677.
