Columbia: Traffic, parking and transportation information released for Division I NCAA Country Championships

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - With the Division I NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships just around the corner, the City of Columbia is gearing up to welcome teams and fans from all over the country. As excitement builds for the event, city officials are urging residents and visitors to take note of important traffic, parking, and transportation information.
The highly anticipated races will take place on Saturday, November 22 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course located at 3100 E. Gans Road. The Women's race will kick off at 9:20 a.m., followed by the Men's race at 10:10 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, both races will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online at https://am.ticketmaster.com/mizzou/buy/xcnationals. It is important to note that tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available for purchase on race day.

Parking is also limited and must be purchased online in advance. On-site parking at Gans Creek Cross Country Course will only be available for officials and small team vehicles. Large team vehicles will need to park at the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse.
For off-site parking options, color-coded lots have been designated at various locations throughout the city:
- BLUE - 2200 Maguire Blvd.
- RED - 2800 Maguire Blvd.
- ORANGE - 2810 Lemone Industrial Blvd.
- PURPLE - 3101 Lemone Industrial Blvd.
- YELLOW - 4780 Discovery Dr.
- GREEN - 3351 E. Gans Road (at Father Tolton Catholic High School)
- ON-SITE - Bristol Lake Parkway (near Philips Lake Park)
Shuttles will be running from each parking lot (except On-site and Green) to the Gans Creek Cross Country Course starting at 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
To ensure a smooth flow of traffic and the safety of pedestrians, residents are advised to take alternate routes and avoid the event area, particularly along Gans Road. The Columbia Police Department will have officers on site to direct traffic and assist with any concerns.
As the city prepares to host this prestigious event, officials are confident that with proper planning and cooperation from all involved, it will be a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone.
