Columbia: Road, sidewalk closure on North Tenth Street between Ash and Walnut streets for crane work, Dec. 10

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - On Wednesday, Dec. 10, Budrovich Crane Rental will be closing a section of North Tenth Street between Ash and Walnut streets from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closure is necessary for the replacement of the HVAC unit on the roof of the Walnut Building located at 1001 E. Walnut St.

During this time, the east sidewalk on North Tenth Street between Ash and Walnut streets will also be closed to ensure the safety of pedestrians. However, the west sidewalk will remain open and signs will be placed to guide pedestrians to safe crossing points.

To accommodate for this closure, Go COMO's Green and Red routes will be detoured along East Ash Street, North Ninth Street, and East Walnut Street. All bus stops will still be in service.

In addition, several parking meters within the work zone will also be temporarily closed. "No parking" signs or meter bags will be placed at least 24 hours in advance to notify drivers.

Weather permitting, crews expect to complete the work and reopen the street by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10. This temporary closure is necessary for the safety and maintenance of the building's HVAC unit.
