Columbia: Lane closure scheduled on Broadway at Providence June 16

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Stormwater Utility, in collaboration with the Public Works Maintenance Division, will be conducting repairs on a damaged section of pavement at the intersection of Providence and Broadway. The work is set to commence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 16 and is expected to be completed by 6:30 a.m. the following day.

The pavement was initially damaged by a storm pipe and had been temporarily patched with asphalt until a more permanent solution could be implemented. The repair work will involve the construction of a concrete section.

While access to the intersection will remain open, motorists are advised that a southbound lane may be blocked during the repair process. As such, it is recommended that drivers, pedestrians, and non-motorized transportation users exercise caution when navigating through the work zone or consider taking alternate routes.
