Columbia: Elevator repairs scheduled at two downtown parking garages June 19

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - On Thursday, June 19, the City of Columbia Parking Utility announced that contractors from AllRise Elevator Company and Dave Griggs' Flooring America will be replacing flooring in elevators at the Fifth and Walnut and Tenth and Cherry Parking Garages. The project is set to begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m., weather permitting.
During the repair, the southeast elevator at the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage will be out of service while the northwest elevator will remain operational. At the Tenth and Cherry Parking Garage, which only has one elevator, access to upper-level ADA spaces will be temporarily affected. Customers in need of elevator access are advised to use ADA spaces on the first floor during this time. Signs will also be posted on affected ADA spaces to inform customers of the elevator closure.
