Colorado Springs: Motorcycle driver dies following June 6 crash on West Las Vegas Street

~ On the early morning of June 6, 2026, a tragic accident occurred on W Las Vegas Street in Colorado Springs. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers from the Gold Hill Division were called to the scene at approximately 01:15 a.m. for an injury crash.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a motorcycle had been traveling westbound on W Las Vegas Street and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle. The motorcyclist, who has been identified as 24-year-old Alexander Liscio by the El Paso County Coroner's Office, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the severity of the incident, the Major Crash Team took over the investigation. It has been determined that speed was a contributing factor in this crash. This marks the 26th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for 2026, which is significantly higher than this time last year when there were only 16 fatalities.

The city has seen a total of 63 traffic-related fatalities in the past year alone.
