~ Colorado Springs residents can now lace up their skates and hit the ice as registration for the Spring 2026 Learn to Skate USA classes at Sertich Ice Center is officially open. The program, which caters to both children and adults of all skill levels, offers a nationally recognized curriculum designed to build confidence, coordination, and foundational skating skills in a safe and supportive environment.

According to Program Administrator Greg Sodbinow, the Learn to Skate program aims to not only teach skating skills but also foster a lifelong love for the sport. With classes available for a wide range of ages, including introductory programs for young children, youth hockey skating, teen instruction, and adult lessons, participants are able to advance at their own pace as they master each level.

Registration for the program can be completed online at ColoradoSprings.gov/LearnToSkate or in person at Sertich Ice Center. The deadline for registration is April 2nd.

Endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, US Speed Skating, and Special Olympics, Learn to Skate USA provides participants with a consistent and progressive learning experience.
