City of Tacoma to Host Free Virtual 'Capability Statements 101' Workshop on March 11

~ Tacoma, WA - The City of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting (EIC) team has announced a partnership with the Washington APEX Accelerator to host a free virtual workshop, Capability Statements 101. The workshop is aimed at helping local businesses navigate government and commercial contracting successfully.

Scheduled for March 11, 2026, from 9-10:30 a.m., the virtual workshop will provide business owners with valuable insights on effectively marketing their organizations. Participants will learn how to highlight their experience and past performance, as well as communicate their unique qualities that set them apart from competitors.

The workshop will also offer a comprehensive overview of the City's EIC program and practical guidance on showcasing proof of qualifications and relevant certifications to potential buyers. Additionally, attendees will receive actionable tips on establishing and nurturing relationships with new clients and government agencies.
