City of Bloomington Responds to Workforce Reduction at Novo

~ Bloomington City officials have been made aware of the recent announcement of workforce reduction at Novo, a pharmaceutical company located in the city. This news has caused concern for the workers and their families who will be affected by this decision.
According to Novo Nordisk Site Head Lars Arnoldsen, he personally reached out to Mayor Kerry Thomson to inform her of the situation and discuss its impact on the local community. In response, Mayor Thomson stated that their main focus is on the well-being of the individuals who will be affected by this workforce reduction. She also expressed her commitment to providing support and assistance to those impacted during this difficult time.

In collaboration with the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) and other local partners, they will work towards connecting affected individuals with employment opportunities, support services, and other available resources.
