One of Garzee's primary responsibilities will be implementing the City's safety action plan, which aims to optimize the mobility, safety, and accessibility of Bloomington's transportation infrastructure. He will also review and oversee capital projects and transportation planning initiatives while addressing any traffic-related inquiries or requests from the public or other agencies.
As the primary liaison between Engineering and other City departments, external stakeholders, and volunteer-led boards and commissions, Garzee will play a crucial role in promoting collaboration and communication within the community. He will also support the Transportation Commission, an advisory board that makes recommendations on improving city-wide transportation conditions and traffic regulations.
